About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both UI Automation and API Automation, with strong expertise in Rest Assured. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to design robust test automation frameworks, ensure high product quality, and enable faster releases.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
  • Write and execute automated test scripts using Selenium / Cypress / Playwright (for UI) and Rest Assured (for API).
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Perform integration testing, regression testing, and performance testing as needed.
  • Continuously improve automation coverage and drive shift-left testing practices.
  • Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and provide detailed defect reports.
  • Ensure automation is integrated into the CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins / GitLab / GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Stay updated with emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices in automation testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 2 to 6 years of hands-on experience as an SDET / Automation Engineer.
  • Strong experience in UI test automation using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Mandatory expertise in API Automation using Rest Assured.
  • Strong proficiency in Java (preferred) or other programming languages (Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of test design principles, BDD / TDD, and automation best practices.
  • Experience with CI / CD pipelines, build tools, and version control (Jenkins, Git, Maven / Gradle).
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
