Job Title : Lead Network Engineer

Location : Bengaluru, India

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cellular (4G / 5G / Private LTE), Wi-Fi / WLAN, and LoRaWAN technologies. The candidate will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining industrial-grade network infrastructures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security across mission-critical environments. This role requires strong hands-on technical depth, leadership, and experience working in complex RF and IP transport systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Network Design & Architecture :

  • Design and deploy advanced cellular (4G / 5G / Private LTE), Wi-Fi / WLAN, and LoRaWAN networks for industrial and enterprise use cases.
  • Architect RF-based IP transport systems ensuring high availability and low latency.
  • Define network hardware and software standards for harsh / field & Operations :
  • Configure, implement, and optimize Wi-Fi / WLAN solutions (Aruba, Cisco, Ruckus, Intel, Extreme, Firetide, Meraki).
  • Integrate IoT and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) connectivity with secure, scalable network solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans, validation strategies, and performance benchmarking.
  • Provide Tier-3 escalation support for complex networking issues.

Automation & Optimization :

  • Develop network automation scripts (Python, Ansible, etc.) to improve deployment and monitoring efficiency.
  • Drive SDN, NFV, and network slicing implementations for industrial applications.
  • Optimize QoS, bandwidth utilization, and low-latency communication channels.
  • Security & Compliance :

  • Implement network security policies, firewalls, and VPNs ensuring compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure disaster recovery strategies and high-availability architectures are in place.
  • Collaboration & Documentation :

  • Work with vendors, OEMs, and global support teams for escalations, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Prepare HLD / LLD (High-Level & Low-Level Designs), technical documentation, and implementation guides.
  • Actively participate in industry forums, POCs, and technology evaluations to recommend future roadmap.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications :

    Education : B.Tech / BE in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.

    Experience : 10+ years of networking experience with at least 5+ years in industrial / field-grade networking.

    Technical Expertise :

  • Cellular (4G / 5G / Private LTE) : EPC, gNodeB, Core integration, slicing, private LTE deployments.
  • Wi-Fi / WLAN : Design, deployment, and troubleshooting across multi-vendor ecosystems (Aruba, Cisco, Ruckus, Extreme, Meraki).
  • LoRaWAN : Gateway and network server deployments, device provisioning, integration with cloud platforms.
  • Protocols : TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN, VXLAN, SD-WAN, SNMP, MQTT, CoAP.
  • Security : Firewalls, IPS / IDS, VPNs, PKI, Zero Trust Networking.
  • Cloud / Edge : Experience with cloud-managed networking (AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, GCP IoT) and edge computing integration.
  • Tools : Wireshark, NetFlow, SolarWinds, Ansible, Python scripting for automation.
  • Preferred Certifications (Good to Have) :

  • CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise or Wireless)
  • Aruba Certified Design Expert (ACDX) or equivalent WLAN certifications
  • 5G / Private LTE vendor certifications (Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Qualcomm)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CISM
