Position Summary
As the
Unit Head – Jadcharla Plant , you will lead overall operations at the processing facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production of milk and milk products. This role demands strong leadership across functions including processing, quality, maintenance, dispatch, and plant operations.
You will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, driving cost efficiency, ensuring food safety, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on plant management expertise with strategic and people leadership.

— ensuring that the Jadcharla Unit operates at the highest standards of performance and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee and direct all plant functions — production, processing, maintenance, quality, and dispatch.
Monitor processing parameters and take timely corrective actions to ensure consistent output, minimal losses, and maximum efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce cost, and maintain food safety standards.
Ensure implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) across all operations.
Production & Quality Management
Supervise production of milk and milk products such as ghee, butter, paneer, curd, and yogurt.
Work with QA to ensure all finished products meet company specifications and quality standards.
Maintain strict adherence to preventive maintenance schedules to minimize plant downtime.
Review plant performance regularly and introduce modern, cost-effective technologies and automation systems.
People & Process Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams for seamless coordination across production, maintenance, and quality.
Foster strong industrial relations to ensure smooth functioning and employee engagement.
Conduct performance appraisals and identify training needs to build technical and leadership capabilities within the plant.
Compliance & Resource Management
Ensure timely fulfillment of all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and control operational budgets, resource utilization, and CAPEX against business plans.
Coordinate with the corporate project team for plant expansions, upgrades, and civil / electrical / mechanical works.
Ensure efficient inventory management of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
Prepare for and support internal and external audits with complete documentation.
Infrastructure & Safety Oversight
Supervise all plant infrastructure, including dairy equipment, utilities, and BMC centers.
Identify damaged or obsolete equipment for timely disposal or replacement.
Uphold a strong culture of safety, cleanliness, and environmental sustainability.

10+ years of experience in dairy or FMCG plant operations, with at least 3 years in a plant leadership role.
Technical knowledge of milk processing, packaging, and quality management systems.
Proven ability to manage large, cross-functional teams and drive performance improvements.
Experience handling production planning, preventive maintenance, and operational audits.
Strong analytical, planning, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
