Job Description

We are looking for an IVR / IVA Engineer with a foundation in Java development and interest in contact center technologies. You’ll support our migration to the NICE CXone platform and help enhance our Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) capabilities through Amelia and call routing improvements.

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid Java and IVR / IVA experience who is eager to learn and expand into NICE CXone and Groovy scripting. You’ll collaborate with a global team and align primarily to UK business hours .

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of IVR / IVA solutions, with a focus on Java-based customizations.
  • Support ongoing migration to NICE CXone and integration with Amelia conversational AI.
  • Partner with QA engineers, architects, and product owners to test and improve call flows.
  • Assist with automation and workflow scripting; learn Groovy as needed.
  • Collaborate with UK-based stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Document technical designs, workflows, and processes.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of Java development experience (flexible depending on project exposure).
  • 3+ years of IVR / IVA development (any platform : Genesys, Avaya, Cisco, Twilio, Five9, NICE, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn and work with NICE CXone and Groovy .
  • Familiarity with conversational AI / virtual assistant tools (Amelia, Alexa, Dialogflow, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in distributed teams.
  • Flexibility to align with UK time zone working hours.
