Description
The Educational Counsellor will play a crucial role in guiding students through their educational choices, helping them to identify their strengths and interests, and providing them with the necessary resources and advice to succeed in their academic pursuits.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to students in making informed decisions about their educational pathways.
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to understand students' academic interests and career goals.
- Assist students in selecting suitable courses, colleges, and universities based on their interests and capabilities.
- Organize workshops and informational sessions about various educational opportunities and career options.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in education, scholarship opportunities, and examination procedures.
- Collaborate with educational institutions and stakeholders to enhance student access to resources.
- Prepare and maintain student records, tracking their progress and outcomes.
- Provide support with application processes, including drafting personal statements and CVs.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.1-5 years of experience in educational counseling or a similar role.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students and parents.Ability to assess students' needs and provide tailored advice.Knowledge of various educational programs, institutions, and scholarship opportunities in India.Proficient in using counseling software and tools for tracking student progress.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Empathy and patience to support students through their educational journey.Education
