Linux SRE [Linux SRE L3 with Infra + Operation Support]
Position Description :
The Server Operations team is part of the Enterprise Computing organization within Client. The wider team has presence in cities globally and is focused on supporting the internal Linux Server platform.
Members of the team frequently interact with engineering teams and collaborate on the testing and certification of the Linux Server platform.
Primary Responsibilities :
Provide the highest level of support for Client's Linux Server platform, including on-call coverage.
Work closely with the internal engineering team and provide input on testing of new component releases and infrastructure upgrades,
as well as performance, capacity and monitoring
Work together with other members of the global team, support and engineering teams of other products and platforms.
Create and improve processes for support, including training, documentation, customer engagement, scripting, incident, problem
and change management
Required Skills :
5 to 8 years of Linux experience.
Sound knowledge of server Infrastructure, Virtualization, Containerization
Understanding of infrastructure services like DNS, DHCP, NTP
Understanding of security protocols like SSL / TLS, Kerberos
Understanding of internet and networking protocols, including TCP / IP, HTTP / HTTPS
Experience with maintaining High-Availability production systems
Nice to have :
Experience in Linux Container technologies
Experience in some scripting language used on Linux
Experience in enterprise-level hosting environments
Experience with operating in large, enterprise environments
Experience with Agile and DevOps / SRE concepts
Experience with monitoring architecture - monitoring agents, dashboards, alerts
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and high-pressure situations for outage resolution
