Responsibilities
- Oversee the academic administration of the university, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of academic processes such as curriculum planning, examination systems, credit frameworks, and maintenance of academic records.
- Act as the custodian of academic rules, regulations, practices, and norms.
- Collaborate closely with academic departments, faculty, and heads of schools for curriculum review and policy development.
- Maintain and update student enrollment records, transcripts, and academic calendars.
- Liaise with academic and administrative units to ensure smooth integration between admissions, scholarships, placements, and academic processes.
- Support and enhance the delivery of academic services to students through coordination with internal stakeholders such as Deans, IT teams, counselors, etc.
- Ensure integrity, security, and confidentiality of academic records and student data.
- Supervise the articulation of transfer credits, graduation processing, degree verifications, and transcript issuance.
- Organize and manage graduation ceremonies and issuance of degrees / diplomas / medals.
- Support academic audit, internal and external quality assessments, and compliance with regulatory bodies (UGC, NCVET, NAAC, NSQF, NHEQF, etc.).
- Implement academic policies related to Research & Development, Entrepreneurship, Industry Integration, and Community Impact.
- Facilitate and track faculty development programs, student events, and academic outreach activities.
- Compile and present data for IQAC, Institute of Eminence (IoE), and institutional rankings.
- Ensure classroom, lab, and collaboration space usage is optimized and in line with academic schedules.
- Interpret and enforce university policies and procedures and advise students and staff on academic matters.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in teaching-learning methodologies across programs.
