Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

Create 3D CAD designs for plastic injection molded parts using CATIA V5 R24.

Design parts with constrained sketches and Boolean operations using inner / outer methodology.

Work on product structures with multi-skeleton methodology.

Develop detailed HVAC parts following design standards, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).

Prepare technical proposals and presentations.

Create detailed drawings with GD&T considering manufacturing and measurement techniques.

Perform tolerance stack-up analysis.

Self-review designs to fix CAD quality, DFM, and DFA issues.

Conduct vehicle packaging studies and modify design concepts accordingly.

Manage design data using PLM systems.

Ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.

Required Qualifications & Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

4 to 5 years of experience designing automobile HVAC parts.

Knowledge of product functional analysis is a plus.

Skills & Competencies :

Proficient in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drawing).

Strong knowledge of HVAC products.

Experience with injection molding and casting manufacturing processes.

Skilled in functional dimensioning and ISO geometric tolerancing.

Ability to perform tolerance stack-up and functional analysis independently.

Good communication skills in English.

Mandatory Skills :

CATIA V5 (R24)

Proficient in 3D CAD design, part design, assembly, and detailed drawing creation.

Automobile HVAC Design

Experience in designing HVAC parts specifically for automotive applications.

Plastic Injection Molded Part Design

Knowledge of designing parts for plastic injection molding processes.

Design for Manufacturing (DFM) & Design for Assembly (DFA)

Ability to design parts that are optimized for manufacturing and assembly.

GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)

Skilled in applying GD&T standards on parts and assemblies.

Tolerance Stack-up Analysis

Experience in performing tolerance stack-up and functional analysis.

Vehicle Packaging & Concept Modification

Understanding of vehicle packaging constraints and ability to modify designs accordingly.

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Familiarity with PLM tools for managing design data.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

4 to 5 Years of Relevant Experience

English Language Proficiency
