The Quality Manager will lead our QA / QC operations, ensuring that every product meets international benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Systems & Processes Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards across all departments (woodworking, metalwork, finishing, assembly, packaging).
Create and maintain SOPs, checklists, inline inspection formats, and QA documentation.
Ensure compliance with buyer guidelines, AQL levels, and global standards.
2. Incoming Material Quality Inspect wood, metal, hardware, coatings, paints, packaging materials, and finishes.
Approve / reject materials based on quality parameters and moisture content requirements.
3. Inline & Final Quality Control Lead a team of QC inspectors for stage-wise inspections — cutting, turning, routing, sanding, finishing, assembly & packing.
Conduct inline checks, random checks, pre-final, and final inspections.
Ensure products match approved samples and specifications.
4. Quality Compliance for Export Buyers Ensure adherence to global retailer requirements (drop tests, packaging compliance, finish standards, weight tolerance, labeling).
Coordinate with third-party auditors (BV, SGS, Intertek, Sedex, CTPAT, etc.).
5. Defect Analysis & Corrective Actions Identify root causes of defects and implement preventive measures.
Work closely with production teams to solve recurring quality issues.
6. Documentation & Reporting Prepare quality reports, inspection logs, NCRs, CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
Maintain daily QC records, production-wise QC sheets, moisture records, etc.
7. Team Leadership Train QC team on quality parameters, visual standards, and new processes.
Monitor performance and improve team productivity and accuracy.
8. Buyer Communication (When Required) Join buyer calls / visits for technical quality discussions.
Handle claims, replacements, and corrective action reports professionally.
