Job description

Job Title : Jr. Backend Developer

Locations : Pune

Experience : 1+ years

Position Type : Full-Time

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure backend systems using Node.js and JavaScript.
  • Build and optimize APIs to support web and mobile applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Work with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases to design schemas, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user- facing applications, leveraging basic frontend skills (e.g., HTML, CSS, React, or similar frameworks).
  • Contribute to the development of Generative AI-driven features by learning and applying Python in relevant projects.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high- quality deliverables.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, particularly in the Generative AI space, and proactively learn new tools and frameworks as needed.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Min. 2 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and extensive experience with Node.js for building server-side applications.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Basic knowledge with frontend technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular) to support full-stack development when needed.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or similar technologies for building scalable services.
  • Interest in Generative AI and a willingness to learn and work with Python for AI-related projects.
  • Proven ability to be a quick learner, with a track record of adapting to newtechnologies and frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively withcross-functional teams.
