Job description

1. Strategic Leadership & Governance

  • Lead the AP vertical across
  • Define and implement AP strategy aligned with enterprise finance and procurement goals.
  • Drive transformation initiatives including automation, digitization, and shared services best practices.

2. Operations Management

  • Oversee invoice processing, validations, payments, and reconciliations across all vendor categories (Opex, Capex, Imports, Services).
  • Ensure TAT, accuracy, and SLA adherence for all AP processes.
  • Review and streamline payment runs, GRIR reconciliations, credit memos, and vendor aging reports.

    • 3. Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, tax laws (GST, TDS), regulatory requirements, and audit norms.
  • Support internal and statutory audits with timely and accurate data.
  • Drive improvements in Sox / ICFR controls around AP.

    • 4. Technology & Process Excellence

  • Drive automation initiatives using SAP, OCR tools, RPA, AI / ML for invoice processing and vendor communication.
  • Standardize processes across entities and regions for uniformity and scalability.
  • Partner with IT and digital teams for AP system enhancements.

    • 5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all AP-related escalations from internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Build strong relationships with procurement, treasury, finance controllers, and business unit heads.
  • Ensure a positive vendor experience through efficient query resolution and timely payments.

    • 6. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AP professionals and team leads.
  • Set clear KPIs, review performance, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

    • Key Skills & Competencies :

  • Deep expertise in Accounts Payable, GST / TDS, SAP (especially SAP S / 4HANA or ECC)
  • Proven experience in automation and digitization of AP processes (OCR, RPA, AI)
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and team leadership
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and process ownership
