Main Purpose of the Role :
The Technical Documentation Specialist is an individual contributor role requiring comprehensive expertise in technical documentation within a specialized domain. The role involves executing highly complex and specialized projects, often adapting precedent methods and making significant departures from traditional approaches to develop innovative solutions. The specialist is responsible for planning, developing, producing, and maintaining technical and user documentation in various formats, including print, electronic, and online technologies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Independently manage and maintain technical document file systems and applications with limited supervision.
- Write a wide variety of technical copy for various internal and external company publications.
- Prepare detailed operation and maintenance manuals, technical publications, and procedural documentation.
- Research and gather technical information from engineering drawings, design reports, equipment specifications, and test data to develop accurate written content.
- Coordinate the layout and organization of manuals and documentation, ensuring clear and structured presentation.
- Solve complex problems related to technical documentation by applying in-depth domain knowledge and innovative approaches.
