Job Overview :
The Assistant Vice President - Liability Insurance Sales will play a critical leadership role in driving the growth and expansion of the liability insurance business. This role involves developing sales strategies, managing high- value client relationships, and leading a team of sales professionals. The ideal candidate will bring deep liability insurance expertise and a proven ability to scale teams and achieve ambitious revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement liability insurance sales strategies to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
- Ensure sales activities align with overall business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales managers and placements staff, fostering a performance- driven culture.
- Identify new business opportunities by leveraging market insights and competitive intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and partners to secure long- term business.
- Oversee sales processes, budgets, and reporting for operational efficiency.
- Use data analytics and CRM systems to track performance, monitor client trends, and guide decision- making.
- Collaborate with product, underwriting, and marketing teams to align solutions with client needs.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies in all sales Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or related field; MBA 10- 12 years in insurance sales, with at least 3+ years in liability insurance.
- 3- 5 years in a senior leadership role, successfully leading sales teams and meeting revenue goals.
Skills & Track Record :
Deep understanding of liability insurance products, risk management, and regulatory compliance.Strong leadership, negotiation, and client relationship skills.Closed 50+ mid- market accounts annually (- 20L- 1Cr GWP liability portfolio).Consistently drove team performance with 15- 20 liability client conversions per month per team member.Managed teams of 5- 10 members (sales managers, placement staff, etc.).Proficiency in CRM systems and analytics tools.(ref : iimjobs.com)
