What role you will play in our team

ExxonMobil is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to provide Riser Engineering technical support and expertise to its oil and gas development projects and production operations. The candidate would be part of ExxonMobil's Pipelines & Risers team in ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering Company, working out of ExxonMobil's Bangalore Campus (Prestige Shantiniketan) in India. The candidate would be responsible for working with multi-discipline deepwater SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers, Flowlines) teams to execute and / or steward riser design / engineering activities as part of project development (concept, FEED), execution, and operations phases.

What you will do

• Develop, specify, and apply riser system design criteria for a wide variety of activities, developments, and operations, i.e., large-scale deepwater capital projects, R&D programs, and offshore installation activities opportunities.
• Get involved in various riser, flexibles or umbilicals engineering activities for deepwater projects from concept evaluation and selection to installation to commissioning and start up
• Execute and / or oversee riser analysis studies (conducted by ExxonMobil internal resources and / or third-party companies) to support riser system design (i.e., strength, fatigue, interference)
• Evaluate strengths and shortcomings of different riser design philosophies.
• Lead revisions to company standards and / or industry practices.
• Interface with engineers from other disciplines (e.g., marine, pipelines, flow assurance, materials) to align on work scopes and work products.
• Interface with suppliers, contractors and other third parties to ensure work products are in alignment with ExxonMobil expectations.
• Participate in offshore industry activities such as conferences and committees.
• Field visits to project locations, vendor premises, production units, etc
• Participate in risk assessments, technology evaluations / selections, and fitness for service assessments.
