Job description

Sikich is seeking an Assurance Associate with 0-1 year of experience to join our team. The candidate will be overseeing and executing financial statement audits ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Experience in US GAAP general accounting and financial statement review is preferable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Timely identification of issues, clearly documenting the facts and findings and discuss with senior / Assistant Managers.
  • Provide significant help and support to Senior Professionals.
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to senior associates and managers.
  • Perform assigned audit, review and compilation procedures.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and reporting standards.
  • Perform cut-off procedures over sales and purchases and subsequent vouching for other income and expense items.
  • Interact with the global engagement team on a regular basis and develop productive working relationships with them.
  • Complete allocated task to a high standard which met set reporting and auditing standards.
  • Execute & document specific review procedures as defined by the engagement team.

Requirements for Successful Candidate

  • B.Com, M.Com, qualified Chartered Accountant with relevant experience. CPA is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
  • Robust logical and reasoning skills.
  • Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks™ and other US accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and good written & oral communication skills.
  • Team player, with the ability to multi-task, flexible and can work under pressure.
