About the Role
We are looking for a Tax Analyst to join our Global Tax Operations team in Bangalore. This role supports regional and central tax teams with tax reporting, analytics, and data management across APAC. You will be a key team member in tax reporting processes and help shape the future of tax compliance and reporting at Swiss Re.
You will work closely with regional tax managers to prepare and review quarterly tax packages, corporate income tax return data, and support other tax deliverables. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to global process optimization and tax transformation projects .
Key Responsibilities
- Support Swiss Re Global Tax processes including tax pack preparation and first-level analytical reviews (IFRS and statutory basis)
- Manage tax account reconciliations, bookings, and tax payments
- Ensure timely data delivery for income tax compliance through collaboration with finance teams, tax teams, and outsourcing providers
- Prepare recurring direct, indirect tax, and withholding tax (WHT) returns and filings
- Assist regional tax experts in handling queries and audits from tax authorities
- Manage deadlines to ensure accurate and timely delivery of tasks
- Maintain communication with stakeholders to stay informed on business and tax law changes
- Gain proficiency in Swiss Re's finance systems and tax tools
- Continuously review income tax processes to identify improvements and ensure strong internal controls
- Participate in tax projects, including process automation, documentation, and user acceptance testing
- Liaise with internal finance, external outsourcing partners, and other key stakeholders
About the Team
The Tax Operations APAC team in Bangalore supports tax-related processes across 8 APAC countries. The team works in close partnership with the regional tax teams based in Singapore and is part of Swiss Re's Global Tax Operations unit, covering over 20 countries worldwide.
The team ensures timely, accurate tax reporting and compliance while continuously improving tax processes. You will play a critical role in managing direct tax processes , while collaborating with global and regional colleagues.
About You
Chartered Accountant, CPA, CMA, or Master's degree in Finance / AccountingMinimum of 4 years of experience in corporate tax (direct and indirect) in a multinational or similar environmentFamiliarity with IFRS and local GAAP is an advantageStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently with accountability and ownershipExperience working with virtual, multicultural teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plusFluency in English (written and spoken) is requiredEagerness to learn and contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentSkills Required
