Structural Steel Production Lead

Job Summary : WBIPL is seeking an experienced Production Manager – Steel Structure to oversee and optimize the manufacturing process of steel structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production schedules, ensuring quality standards, improving efficiency, and leading a team to achieve production targets while maintaining safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities : Production Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure optimum utilization of resources (manpower, machinery, materials).
• Monitor daily production activities and resolve operational issues. Quality & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry regulations.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures in fabrication and welding.
• Conduct inspections and audits to minimize defects and rework. Team Leadership & Workforce Management
• Supervise and train production teams, including welders, fabricators, and machine operators.
• Motivate and enhance workforce productivity while ensuring safety compliance.
• Coordinate with HR for workforce planning, hiring, and training. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
• Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Monitor and control production costs, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity enhancement. Safety & Compliance
• Enforce health and safety regulations in the production area.
• Ensure all employees follow workplace safety procedures and policies.
• Conduct safety training and risk assessments regularly. Coordination & Reporting
• Work closely with design, procurement, and project management teams.
• Prepare reports on production performance, efficiency, and challenges.
• Communicate with senior management on key production issues and solutions. Key Requirements : Education :
• Bachelor’s / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in steel structure fabrication and production.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding processes, and machining. Preferred Qualifications :
• Experience in handling large-scale steel structure projects.
