role & responsibilities
- Tax compliance : Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Tax planning : Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities while remaining compliant
- Tax reporting : Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (income tax, sales tax, property tax, and others)
- Tax analysis : Conduct research and analysis of tax laws and regulations, assess their impact, and advise management
- Audits & investigations : Coordinate with auditors / tax authorities during audits and provide required documentation
- Tax forecasting : Estimate future tax liabilities considering regulatory changes and business operations
- Tax strategy development : Design tax-efficient structures for business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, etc.
- Documentation & record-keeping : Maintain accurate tax records, documentation, and supporting schedules as per legal requirements
