Job Title - Product Manager – FD & ODAFD

Department - Product Management - Consumer Banking

Location - Mumbai

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Product Manager to lead the development, management, enhancement, and create digital journey of our Overdraft against Fixed Deposit (FD) & Fixed Deposit product. The ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, streamline processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver a seamless experience for our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of OD & FD products, risk management, and process within the banking sector

Key Responsibilities

Product & Portfolio Management :

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap & strategy for ODAFD product, aligning with the bank’s digital transformation objectives.
  • Conduct peer benchmarking, customer segmentation, define product features, benefits, and value propositions aligned with customer needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Risk, Compliance, Ops, Credit and Technology to launch new features and improvements.
  • Develop business cases for new features and product enhancements, including financial projections and ROI analysis.
  • Monitor existing portfolio, usage patterns, P&L, nonperforming cases etc.
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management with insights and recommendations.

Policy & Processes Management pertaining to FD & ODAFD :

  • Review & enrich standard operating procedures (SOPs), Policy documents, Product T&C, Deliverables & Collaterals etc. on a regular basis.
  • Review existing processes ODAFD processes, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Standardization of processes for improved customer experience.
  • Design and implement streamlined, efficient, and compliant processes for ODAFD, both digital and physical.
  • Work closely with operations, risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure all processes adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

    • Digital Journey Ownership :

  • End-to-end ownership of the digital customer journey for ODAFD, from application and sanction to disbursement, repayment, and closure.
  • Design intuitive, user-friendly, and secure digital interfaces (web, mobile app) that provide a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with design and technology teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of digital features.

    • Regulatory Compliance :

  • Stay abreast of relevant banking regulations and compliance requirements related to lending products and digital financial services.
  • Ensure all product features and processes are fully compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Ensure that all queries received from Regulators are addressed in a timely manner.

    • Ownership of P&L and the Budgets :

  • Responsible for ODAFDs Budgets and P&L, revenues Targets, Channel Productivity, usage and adoption.
  • Responsible for Growth of OD, Revenues across Customer Segments and Geographies.

    • Job Requirements

  • Must have banking experience with at least 5-7 years in FD / FDOD product role.
  • Should have handled product development / product launch experience in retail liabilities / assets
  • Preferred : MBA / PGDM in Finance / Marketing from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute
