Job description

Location : Muscat, Oman

Working Days : Sunday to Thursday

Experience : 6+ Years

Notice Period : Immediate joiners preferred (up to 30 days acceptable)

Summary

Design enterprise data models and standards to support analytics, MDM, and application integration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models; normalize / denormalize as needed for performance.
  • Define canonical entities, naming conventions, metadata, and lineage; steward reference / master data.
  • Partner with engineers to translate models into DDL, ETL mappings, and views; support CDC patterns.
  • Optimize for warehouse, lakehouse, and operational reporting; document assumptions and constraints.
  • Validate models against business rules; ensure consistency across domains and systems.

Required Skills

  • 6+ years in data modeler roles covering dimensional and 3NF modeling, star / snowflake schemas, SCDs.
  • Strong SQL, profiling, and modeling tools (e.g., ER / Studio, ERwin, dbt modeling concepts).
  • Performance design for large-scale datasets; understanding of governance, security, and data quality.
