Role & Responsibilities:

As a Technical Lead - Backend(Node Js+Typescript) at Azodha, you'll play a key role in developing, scaling, and leading the backend systems for our innovative product. You will work closely with the founder/CEO to refine the product vision, drive product development, and grow a strong technical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership/Partner with CEO: Shape the product vision and define the technical strategy in collaboration with the founder/CEO. Drive product development from concept to execution.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and grow the technical team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, helping hire top talent and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Technical Excellence: Design, develop, and scale backend services using Node.js and TypeScript, including REST and GraphQL APIs. Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing.
• Data Management and Integrity: Oversee efficient data management and integrity using Prisma or TypeORM, and relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality product delivery. Provide strategic insights and feedback based on customer interactions and market trends.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends in backend development, incorporating new technologies where appropriate. Drive innovation and efficiency within the team.
• Operational Oversight: Proactively troubleshoot, debug, and ensure system stability and performance. Conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality and best practices.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in backend development, including time spent in both individual contributor and leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading and managing a technical team, with a history of successfully delivering complex products.
• Strong experience in building and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, and working knowledge of ORMs like Prisma or TypeORM.
• Proficiency in cloud services, with hands-on experience in AWS.
• Strong background in cross-system architecture, including security, database design, and system integration.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
• A strong work ethic, with a commitment to excellence and a passion for delivering quality, scalable solutions.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, managing multiple priorities, and making quick decisions with grace.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional backend technologies (e.g., Python, Go).
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment processes.
• Prior experience working in the healthcare industry or with health tech products.
• Contributions to open-source projects or active involvement in the tech community.
