Cyber Security Engineer – Infrastructure Focus | Financial Services
Location : Melbourne or Sydney (Hybrid – 3 days in-office)
Type : Permanent | Full-time
Salary : 160-170K including Super
Join a leading superannuation firm as they continue to uplift their cyber security capability. We’re looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer with a strong infrastructure background, experience in financial services, and the confidence to work closely with senior business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
Design, implement, and manage security solutions across enterprise infrastructure (on-prem and cloud).
Collaborate across IT and business units to maintain strong cyber resilience.
Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and vulnerabilities.
Provide expert guidance on infrastructure security and risk mitigation.
Partner with senior stakeholders, translating complex technical issues into clear business insights.
About You :
Proven experience in cyber security engineering within infrastructure-heavy environments.
Solid understanding of superannuation or broader financial services regulatory requirements (e.g., APRA CPS 234).
Confident communicator with experience engaging senior leaders and executives.
Proficiency with modern security tooling (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, vulnerability management).
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS / Azure Security) are highly regarded.
