Key responsibilities

 Perform welding : Join metal parts and surfaces using Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) techniques,

ensuring proper settings and gas mixtures are used.

 Interpret technical documents : Read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, and work

orders to plan welding and assembly operations.

 Prepare materials : Clean, cut, and prepare metal surfaces for welding.

 Set up and maintain equipment : Set up welding machines with appropriate settings and perform

routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

 Inspect work : Examine completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications,

making repairs as needed.

 Follow safety protocols : Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective

equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.

 Collaborate with teams : Work with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

 Record keeping : Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

 Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.

 Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

 Familiarity with a variety of welding equipment and hand / power tools.

 Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

 Physical strength and dexterity for the role.

 Knowledge of safety procedures and standards.
