Brief Job Description :

CSM Engineer :

• An exciting opportunity to become fully trained and qualified on Vertiv UPS Systems. You will be primarily responsible for startups, maintenance, and emergency repairs for UPS, battery, power distribution, and site monitoring equipment. Your secondary responsibility will be to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, salesmen, distributors, and others within the area, while maintaining active and open dialogue with the service direction team.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each :

Basic knowledge all devices and utilities which are part of Data Center like electrical equipment DG, PAC, UPS, Inverter, Fire Detection system, Fire Suppression system, BMS, Access Control, Video Surveillance System, Electrical Systems, etc.

DC Engineer shall ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of Data Center are followed by all stakeholders inside Data Center.

DC Engineer shall verify checklist filled by DCO to ensure the health status of all utilities (DG / UPS / BMS / PAC's etc.)

DC Engineer shall be responsible to handle any emergency in Datacenter including fire, security threat, unavailability of services, etc.

DC Engineer shall report / escalate to BPCL team (Infrastructure / Network / server admin) as per escalation-matrix if any issue found during Shift hours.

DC Engineer shall maintain records and drawing schematics of the data center to detail what equipment is installed at which position & it's status.

DC Engineer shall recommend and implement policies, standards, and documentation procedures related to all data center operations activities.

DC Engineer shall coordinate with DCO & AMC vendors for preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance and ensure successful closure of the issue within SLA.

DC Engineer shall maintain Utilities Uptime record & response time of Vendors.

DC Engineer shall communicate both verbally and in writing to technical & non-technical personnel (, writing reports, making presentations or do if required documenting procedures)

DC Engineer shall support Network and Basis team during off office hours in case of an emergency.

Any other jobs related to Data Center operations, maintenance and management shall also be carried out by the Engineers.

Qualifications :

Required / Minimum Qualifications :

BE / B. Tech. in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.

Min. 4 Years of post-qualification work experience including min. 2 Years in managerial / supervisory role at Data Center.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications :

Computer Literate (All office associated programs such as, word, excel, outlook).

Previous field service experience essential.

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong communication skills.

Self-starter, ability to plan, organize and manage time effectively with an ability to work under pressure.

Clean, Valid driving license.

There will be after hours (post 17 : 00) and weekend shift requirements, sometimes at short notice.

Daily travel to and from customer sites.
