Job Description

We are looking for a

Lead Shopify POS Developer

to own, design, and develop advanced Shopify POS UI extensions and retail-focused POS experiences. The role involves migrating legacy POS solutions to modern Shopify APIs, integrating third-party systems, supporting global store rollouts, and leading technical delivery. You will collaborate closely with retail stakeholders, troubleshoot production issues, set up CI / CD pipelines, and mentor team members while ensuring high-quality, scalable POS implementations.

Mandatory Skills

Shopify POS UI Extensions

(3–5 years hands-on experience)

Strong expertise in

React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+)

Proficiency in

HTML5, CSS3

Experience with

Shopify Liquid

Shopify Polaris (Admin UI)

Shopify integrations :

Payment gateways

Tax engines

Loyalty / fraud systems

ERP / OMS / CRM / Inventory systems

Strong knowledge of :

REST & GraphQL APIs

Shopify Admin APIs

EventBridge & Webhooks

Shopify App Bridge

Proven experience building

custom Shopify apps

Hands-on Git (branching, PR workflow, code reviews)

Experience with

POS / eCommerce solutions for large retailers ($500M+ revenue)

Excellent debugging, communication & ownership skills

Secondary / Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with

RFID-based inventory management

Exposure to

enterprise retail operations

Experience in

global multi-store rollouts

Knowledge of

Node.js / Remix

for backend components

Strong

CI / CD & DevOps

exposure

Experience with

hardware / peripheral troubleshooting

(scanners, printers, POS devices)
