Position : Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and performance-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to manage our sales operations in Chennai. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the FMCG food sector , with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in spices / masala products .
Key Responsibilities
- Drive primary and secondary sales in the assigned territory (Chennai and nearby markets).
- Handle distributor and retailer network expansion and management.
- Develop sales strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Lead and mentor a team of Territory Sales Officers / Executives.
- Plan and execute trade promotions, new product launches, and retail visibility initiatives.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends; provide timely feedback to the management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and commercial terms.
- Submit regular reports and analysis on territory performance.
Key Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG food sales.Strong experience in masala / spices product sales is highly preferred.Sound knowledge of Chennai and Tamil Nadu retail / wholesale markets.Proven experience in managing distributor and retail networks.Fluent in Tamil and English ; Hindi is an added advantage.Bachelor's degree in any discipline (MBA preferred).Willingness to travel extensively within the region.Desired Attributes
