Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution :
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for power projects.
- Coordinate engineering design, procurement of equipment, construction activities, and testing / commissioning.
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
- Technical Oversight :
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
- Monitor engineering deliverables and technical documentation.
- Resolve technical issues promptly in coordination with design and site teams.
- Procurement & Vendor Management :
- Oversee procurement of electrical equipment, transformers, switchgear, and related components.
- Evaluate and select suppliers / subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Manage contracts, negotiations, and vendor performance.
- Construction & Site Management :
- Supervise site execution activities, ensuring alignment with project plans.
- Monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Facilitate coordination between civil, electrical, and mechanical teams.
- Testing & Commissioning :
- Plan and manage pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Verify system performance through testing procedures before project handover.
- Ensure documentation for handover to client is complete and accurate.
- Financial & Reporting :
- Track project budgets, expenditures, and cost control measures.
- Prepare progress reports for management and clients.
- Ensure timely billing and collection milestones are achieved.
- Team Leadership & Coordination :
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams across EPCT functions.
- Conduct regular review meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Experience Required
10–15 years of experience in managing large-scale EPCT Power Projects (Hydro, Thermal, Transmission, or Substations).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
