Principal Apache Iceberg Engineer at BairesDev

We are seeking a Principal Apache Iceberg Engineer to drive the architecture and development of distributed table formats and metadata management systems. You'll contribute to Apache Iceberg and related ecosystem projects (Spark, Flink, Hive), focusing on high-scale table architecture, core metadata improvements, and integration strategies.

What You'll Do :

• Contribute actively to Apache Iceberg and related open source projects as a core contributor.
• Lead the design and optimization of table formats, snapshots, partitioning, and metadata management.
• Define performance tuning strategies for large-scale tables and incremental operations.
• Drive integration strategies with Spark, Flink, and Hive for batch and streaming workloads.
