Founded in 2010 by four passionate animal lovers, YODA (Youth Organization in Defence of Animals) is a registered charity based in Mumbai & Goa. YODA is dedicated to improving human-animal co-existence and works towards a city free from animal cruelty. The organization provides prompt medical services to abandoned and injured animals, offers behavioral rehabilitation, shelters homeless or elderly animals, and conducts vaccination and sterilization programs. YODA also engages in education and awareness campaigns.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at YODA, located in Mumbai. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and assisting with budget preparation and audits. The Accountant will also collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting software (TALLY) and financial management systems
• Strong skills in financial reporting, budget preparation, and auditing
• Experience with account reconciliation, invoice processing, and maintaining financial records
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
