Job descriptionBachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in network security and firewall management, with mandatory expertise in Fortigate firewalls . Proven experience working in the manufacturing sector , with demonstrated success in securing OT environments. Hands-on experience executing projects to separate OT from IT networks. Strong expertise in Fortigate firewall deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. Advanced understanding of LAN / WAN technologies and networking protocols in manufacturing setups. Comprehensive knowledge of OT-IT security frameworks and practices. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional environments. Fortinet NSE 4 or higher (mandatory). Additional certifications in network security or OT-IT environments are highly desirable. Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management Proficient in English speaking, reading and writing.
This role demands substantial experience in the manufacturing sector and a proven track record of executing similar projects successfully. Candidates must be prepared to showcase their prior work in detail during the interview process, demonstrating their ability to address the unique challenges of securing plant floor operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, deploy, and maintain Fortigate firewalls for plant floor security, ensuring compliance with Magna s global standards.
- Optimize firewall configurations to protect OT environments while maintaining efficient network operations.
- Provide expert troubleshooting for Fortigate firewalls and LAN issues, with a focus on resolving incidents swiftly to minimize production downtime.
- Deliver proactive support for manufacturing environments, addressing production-critical issues with urgency.
- Implement robust security practices to achieve clear separation between OT and IT networks, safeguarding critical manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with Magna s security team to ensure alignment with the latest security guidelines and industry standards.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of manufacturing workflows, applications, and processes to develop solutions tailored to operational needs.
- Act as the technical bridge between Magna s global firewall team, local IT teams, operational teams, and business stakeholders.
- Work closely with Magna s global firewall team leader, providing updates and ensuring alignment with global security objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with local IT teams, operational counterparts, and business relationship managers to deliver seamless project execution.
- Present detailed examples of past projects related to manufacturing network security, specifically Fortigate firewall deployments, during the interview process.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of manufacturing-specific challenges and how they were successfully addressed in previous roles.
