Job Title : Operations Manager- Green Skills
Locations : Kolkata (West Bengal), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Pune (Maharashtra), Hyderabad (Telangana)
Job Summary : -The Operations Manager will be responsible for end-to-end implementation and operations of large-scale State Government–led skill development and livelihood projects , with a strong focus on ITI and Polytechnic ecosystems. The role involves multi-state coordination, stakeholder management, industry partnerships, student mobilization, monitoring, and project closure activities, particularly aligned with green jobs, apprenticeships, and international mobility initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Action Plan & Partnerships
- Develop and execute a detailed state-wise project implementation plan.
- Establish strong working relationships with State Directorates, ITIs, Polytechnics, and Green Industries.
- Identify and onboard ITIs college for project implementation.
- Coordinate with local government bodies for smooth execution and compliance.
2. Stakeholder Interactions & Student Outreach
Organize and oversee :Community-level meetingsCareer counselling eventsMotivational sessionsFacilitate admissions students, ensuring :At least 20% representation from marginalized communitiesEngage with principals, faculty, parents, and community leaders to drive enrolments and retention.3. Government–Industry Roundtables & NAPS
Plan and conduct Government–Industry Roundtables.Promote and operationalize the Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).Enroll 100 new green industries on the NAPS portal.Strengthen apprenticeship and placement pathways through industry partnerships.4. International Mobility
Map and engage international mobility stakeholders.Identify vocational pathways for green occupations aligned with international demand.Support the screening and selection of students for potential migration opportunities (e.g., Germany).5. Monitoring, Reporting & Project Closure
Track project KPIs, milestones, and deliverables across states.Develop and deploy Industry Connect Toolkits.Organize project closure events (one per state).Manage final reports, documentation, and compliance submissions.Conduct and coordinate a long-term Tracer Study to assess outcomes and impact.Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in State Government project implementation (Skill Development / Livelihood / Education).Strong operational knowledge of ITI and Polytechnic-based projects.Experience working with multiple stakeholders : government officials, training institutions, industries, and NGOs.Ability to manage large-scale targets, timelines, and teams across locations.Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.Preferred / Added Advantage
Prior experience with ITI, Polytechnic, Apprenticeship, or NAPS projects.Exposure to green jobs, emerging technologies, or international mobility programs.Familiarity with CSR, donor-funded, or multilateral projectsEducational Qualification
Graduate / Postgraduate in Management, Social Work, Education, Engineering, or a related field.Travel Requirement
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned state and occasionally across locations.
