Job Purpose :
We are seeking an experienced and high-performing Mutual Fund Manager with 6-7 years of expertise in mutual fund management and client advisory. The ideal candidate will lead the Mutual Fund operations, develop and manage client portfolios, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive business growth through strategic initiatives. This is a leadership role requiring deep market knowledge, analytical strength, and the ability to mentor and inspire a team toward achieving organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management : Develop, implement, and manage mutual fund portfolios to maximize returns while effectively managing risk.
Performance Monitoring : Monitor and analyze fund performance to ensure alignment with client objectives and regulatory compliance.
Client Engagement : Engage with clients to understand their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences, and recommend suitable mutual fund products.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all mutual fund operations comply with SEBI, AMFI, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely documentation of fund transactions, client portfolios, and performance reports.
Leadership & Mentoring : Guide, mentor, and support junior analysts and sales executives to meet team and organizational goals.
Client Acquisition : Arrange and conduct meetings with potential clients to explain products, benefits, and investment strategies.
Communication : Effectively communicate the value propositions of various mutual fund products, addressing client concerns and queries promptly.
Market Intelligence : Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify business opportunities and potential threats.
Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to promote customer loyalty and repeat business.
Business Development : Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to promote the Company’s financial services.
Sales Achievement : Consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and performance targets.
Competencies
Strong understanding of financial markets , mutual fund products , and investment strategies .
Proficient in using data analytics tools to assess fund performance and market trends.
Expertise in regulatory requirements , risk management , and compliance frameworks for mutual funds.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients.
Proven leadership ability to guide, motivate, and manage a team successfully.
Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, especially under market uncertainties.
Ability to maintain trust and credibility with clients through consistent service and transparency.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, or NISM are highly desirable.
Minimum 7-8 years of experience in mutual fund management, investment advisory, or related portfolio management roles
