Job descriptionDiploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 3 years of experience in design of precision mechanical components. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or similar). Strong understanding of tribology, metallurgy, and material science. Design Engineer - Bearing Solutions
Employment Type : Full Time (6 days a week).
Location : Kanpur, India
We are designers and manufacturers of high precision Fluid Film Bearings for use in Turbines, Gearboxes, Compressors and other sophisticated rotating machinery.
We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our product engineering team. You will play a key role in conceptualizing and designing high-performance bearings, and optimizing them for performance and durability. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with CAD / CAE tools, and a deep understanding of material selection and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop bearing components and assemblies for a wide range of applications.
- Prepare 2D / 3D CAD models, detailed engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Perform design calculations (load, speed, lubrication etc.) to ensure reliability and performance.
- Work with suppliers on material selection and heat treatment.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimise designs for production efficiency and quality.
- Document design processes, maintain technical files, and contribute to design standards.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities for product performance and cost-effectiveness.
