In partnership with England Rugby, United Learning are appointing 1 Rugby Specialist role to our team of 4.
Working across a network of secondary schools in the area defined by the role, you will be responsible for the hands-on delivery of rugby union to students through in-lesson support and co-curricular clubs, staff training and creating links to local clubs. This role is also responsible for the coordination of activity within other United Learning secondary schools in the region to ensure they have access to club support, teacher CPD and competitive opportunities.
The role will involve working with the North London School Cluster , Heads of PE, Senior Leadership Teams, RFU staff, United Learning’s Senior Rugby Specialist and local partnerships to plan and deliver inclusive and developmental rugby activity. The aim is to maximise participation, develop staff and young leaders, provide playing opportunities and link students and schools to local community clubs.
About You
You will be a qualified rugby coach able to inspire PE teachers and senior leaders to grow rugby union within curricular and co-curricular provision. You will support their delivery through hands-on coaching, teacher training and coordinating links with local competition providers and community clubs.
In addition to being a coach that can inspire, we are looking for an individual who has an understanding of current issues within PE and community rugby clubs and who has the ability to develop and deliver solutions to overcome these, to maximise participation for young people of all backgrounds.
