Our client is the leader of manufacturing industry for steel and equipment, founded more than two decades ago. We serve oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, mining, renewable energy, power, and other industries throughout locally and internationally.
Position Title : Assistant Procurement Manager
General Purpose :
- Support the Procurement Manager in leading procurement operations, supplier management, and logistics coordination to ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing of goods and services for the company’s projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee procurement officers in daily operations.Assist in developing procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.Source, evaluate, and establish contracts with qualified local and overseas suppliers.Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term supply agreements.Review and approve purchase orders and supplier contracts within delegated authority.Coordinate with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure smooth import / export processes.Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic evaluations.Prepare procurement and logistics reports for management review.Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and international trade regulations.Requirements
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields.Experience : Minimum 3–5 years in procurement, including international sourcing and logistics; experience in heavy industries or construction projects preferred.Skills :
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.Good command of written and spoken English.Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.Benefits
