Role Summary
As a key member of IAG’s Scientific and Medical Services team and in collaboration with our global scientific advisory board, you will lead discussions and provide strategic advice on imaging endpoints and trial design for our biotech and pharmaceutical clients. You will support the delivery of imaging biomarker research across therapeutic areas such as oncology, rheumatology, metabolic disorders (including obesity and diabetes), rare diseases, and CNS disorders.
This role involves direct engagement with C-level executives, business development, product, and project management teams, ensuring alignment between client needs and scientific innovation. You will also actively represent IAG at scientific conferences and contribute to publications, helping clients maximize the value extracted from their imaging data to accelerate drug development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as imaging technical lead for imaging biomarker strategies in clinical trials across multiple indications (e.g., solid and hematologic cancers, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, cardiometabolic disease, CNS, and rare diseases).
- Your personal expertise will be complimented by worlclass netwrok of IAG's trusted advisors and academic collaborators.
- Review clinical trial protocols, assess imaging endpoints, and analysis plans and help our clients to leverage advanced imaging modalities (MRI, CT, PET, DXA, ultrasound) tailored to trial objectives in each therapeutic area.
- Interpret clinical trial protocols and closely work with our project management team.
- Provide ongoing guidance to sponsors and internal teams, supporting clinical development (phases I-IV) and RWE studies.
- Lead and contribute to the authorship of publications, posters, and scientific presentations; represent the company at international meetings and industry events.
- Proactively monitor scientific and regulatory developments in imaging biomarkers across key therapeutic areas, ensuring client projects meet current standards.
- Support client development activities by providing scientific input to new project opportunities, proposals, and bid defences.
- Ensure scientific quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement within IAG’s imaging biomarker portfolio.
- Foster collaboration between cross-disciplinary teams (clinical experts, imaging scientists, data analysts, project managers, and software engineers).
Requirements
PhD (or equivalent) in biomedical sciences, clinical imaging, radiology, medicine, or relevant field.At least 5 years' experience in imaging biomarker research or applied clinical imaging for drug development, with a track record of publications.Demonstrated expertise with clinical trials in at least two major therapeutic areas.Experience in in rheumatology, obesity or oncology imaging would be a plus.Strong publication record and experience as presenter at scientific conferences.Strong communicator and representative — ability to engage with clients and industry partners.Experience working in a fast-paced, project-driven, client-facing environment.Why work at Image Analysis Group?
