Description : Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cost Manager to handle cost planning, budgeting, contract management, and commercial coordination for ongoing and upcoming projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in pre- and post-contract activities, cost reporting, vendor negotiations, and coordination with clients and design teams.
Key Responsibilities (KRA) :
- Coordinating with clients, design teams, and consultants to raise queries and obtain timely clarifications
- Ensuring project quantities are within specified contract margins and aligned with scope of work
- Preparing monthly cost management reports and tracking budgets against ongoing project activities
- Providing early warnings and raising flags related to risks impacting budget, timelines, or scope
- Preparing cash flow forecasts, monitoring financial progress, and ensuring adherence to planned expenditure
- Managing both pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities
- Preparing bid proposals, BOQs, rate analyses, and tender documentation
- Conducting vendor and contractor negotiations to achieve optimal pricing and commercial terms
- Supporting value engineering exercises to optimize project cost without compromising quality
- Reviewing invoices, validating quantities, and certifying contractor bills
- Supporting contract administration, change orders, variations, and claims management
- Maintaining documentation related to cost estimates, budgets, and financial controls
- Collaborating with procurement, project management, and execution teams for cost-related decisions
Required Skillsets :
