Job descriptionProven hands-on experience in managing and architecting multi-platform databases with a focus on DB2, Sybase, Cassandra, SQL, and Oracle. Strong expertise in Azure SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL / MySQL, and other Azure-based database services. Leadership experience managing database teams and ensuring SLAs for critical database environments. Deep expertise in database performance tuning, backup strategies, and disaster recovery. Certifications in database and cloud platforms (Microsoft Certified : Azure Database Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
Job Title : Database Architect (DB2, Sybase, Cassandra, SQL, Oracle)
Experience : 15-20 years
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the database architecture and strategy across multi-platform database systems, with a focus on Azure cloud solutions.
- Provide hands-on leadership in designing, deploying, and maintaining databases including DB2, Sybase, Cassandra, SQL, and Oracle.
- Drive cloud database migration strategies to Azure and optimize database performance in hybrid cloud environments.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of database systems, implementing best practices for backup, disaster recovery, and failover.
- Collaborate with teams to align database solutions with Azure cloud transformation goals.
- Lead performance tuning, database optimization, and data modeling for complex business requirements.
- Manage database operations including security, patching, upgrades, and monitoring.
- Mentor and develop junior DBAs and provide leadership on database technologies and trends.
