Role Summary
We are looking for an execution-driven Delivery cum Business Manager to lead one of our most strategic engineering business units.
This role combines delivery leadership, talent alignment, and business management in a major part of which is in staff augmentation model with full P&L responsibility.
The ideal candidate should have strong operational capabilities, broad technical awareness, and hands-on experience working with Talent Acquisition, Sales, and Engineering teams to meet customer demands at speed and scale.
Key Responsibilities
Execution & Delivery Operations
- Drive successful onboarding and ramp-up of engineering talent across multiple client engagements.
- Own execution excellence by aligning customer needs with internal engineering capabilities.
- Ensure smooth handoff and follow-through from sales closure to delivery execution.
- Resolve delivery bottlenecks quickly, ensuring client satisfaction and high retention.
Customer Engagement & Requirement Mapping
Engage with technology and business leaders at client organizations to understand role requirements in detail.Translate customer needs into actionable talent and skill demands for internal teams.Act as a trusted advisor to clients for all engineering staffing and capability discussions.Talent & Resource Management
Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to define profiles, screen candidates, and accelerate hiring cycles.Coordinate with internal engineering and practice leads to source appropriate candidates from existing teams.Ensure strong candidate quality, technical fitment, and cultural alignment before client submission.P&L & Business Ownership
Own the revenue, profitability, and growth targets for the business unit.Collaborate with sales and account teams to drive new demand and ensure fast closure of open positions.Monitor account health, delivery margins, resource mix, and utilization KPIs.Key Skills & Qualifications
15+ years of experience in engineering services or staff augmentation business, preferably in semiconductor, embedded systems, or application technologies.Proven success in managing large engineering teams, scaling delivery, and owning P&L.Excellent execution mindset with hands-on experience managing hiring cycles, engineering onboarding, and delivery start-up.Ability to understand broad technologies : embedded systems, full-stack applications, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, AI / ML.Strong interpersonal and coordination skills to bridge Sales, Talent Acquisition, Engineering, and Client teams.High responsiveness, agility, and commitment to customer success.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ECE, CS, or related fields); MBA is a plus.Exposure to global customers and distributed delivery model(ref : iimjobs.com)
