Role Overview :
As the Technical Artist, you will bridge the gap between art and technology, driving the visual excellence and technical performance of our Unreal Engine-powered AAA game. You will lead a team of tech artists to develop cutting-edge pipelines, shaders, and tools that empower our artists while optimizing real-time performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Pipeline & Tool Development :
Develop and maintain efficient art pipelines, automation tools, and procedural workflows to
enhance productivity.
Shader & Material Development :
Create high-quality shaders and materials in Unreal Engine, balancing visual fidelity and
performance.
Performance Optimization :
Optimize assets, lighting, and rendering to ensure high frame rates while maintaining visual
quality across platforms.
Collaboration & Problem-Solving :
Work closely with artists, engineers, and designers to solve technical challenges and implement
cutting-edge visual effects.
Qualifications :
5+ years in technical art roles, with leadership experience in AAA game development.
Extensive experience working with Unreal Engine, including material editor, blueprints, and
Niagara.
Technical Skills :
Programming & Scripting : Proficiency in Python, Blueprint scripting, and knowledge of C++ is a
plus Shaders & Rendering : Strong grasp of PBR workflows, shader development (HLSL, GLSL), and lighting optimization.
Rigging & Animation Tools : Experience with procedural rigging, character deformation, and
animation tools.
Asset Optimization :
Deep understanding of LODs, texture streaming, and performance profiling
tools in Unreal Engine.
Leadership Skills :
Proven ability to lead and collaborate across departments, translating artistic goals into efficient
technical solutions.
