Head Cable Design

The Cable Design Head will spearhead the Product Design and Engineering function for power cables , encompassing LT, HT, CC, and EHV categories. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving innovation , cost optimization , and the development of customer-centric design solutions . The incumbent will lead the design and development of new products in alignment with project specifications and business objectives , deliver technical expertise and support to the sales and marketing teams , and mentor and guide a high-performing engineering team to achieve excellence in product performance, reliability, and compliance..

Key responsibilities :

• Lead the design and engineering of LT, HT, CC, and EHV power cables .
• Develop new cable products aligned with customer projects, market trends, and business objectives .
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international standards (IS, IEC, BS, etc.).
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to deliver technical support for cable system design.
• Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and propose cost-effective, technically robust solutions .
• Represent the organization in technical discussions, presentations, and customer audits .
• Drive continuous improvement in designs for cost optimization and performance enhancement .
• Strengthen work systems and practices to improve speed, agility, and cost efficiency .
• Coach and mentor the design team to build strong internal technical capabilities .
