About the Role
We are seeking a senior, hands-on Data & Analytics Leader to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise data, analytics, and reporting platforms. This strategic role will lead analytics transformation across advisory, investments, portfolio management, risk, compliance, and client reporting functions. The ideal candidate combines deep financial domain knowledge with proven data engineering, platform architecture, analytics, and executive leadership capabilities.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
Vision & Strategy
- Define and execute the enterprise data engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Establish best practices for architecture, governance, and operational excellence.
- Drive adoption of modern data platforms and cloud-native solutions across the organization.
- Lead end-to-end data and analytics strategy for Wealth Management platforms across advisory, portfolio, trading, risk, compliance, and client reporting.
Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing data engineering team.Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Develop career paths and training programs to grow technical and leadership capabilities.Lead and mentor data engineers, BI developers, and analysts.Enterprise Platform Ownership
Oversee modernization of the Azure-based data ecosystem and Databricks Lakehouse platform.Own data architecture and analytics solution design across Lakehouse, BI, and advanced analytics layers.Ensure reliability, scalability, compliance, and cost optimization across all data pipelines and workflows.Champion data governance, security, regulatory compliance, lineage, quality, and metadata management for sensitive datasets.Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with business leaders (Investment Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Risk, Compliance, Operations), data scientists, and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.Communicate complex technical concepts in business terms to influence executive decision-making.Act as primary interface and trusted advisor for analytics roadmap, prioritization, delivery governance, and data strategy.Ensure adherence to financial data privacy, audit, and compliance standards.Technical Oversight (Strategic & Hands-On)
Guide architecture for Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Enterprise Data Warehousing.Oversee ETL / ELT pipelines, data ingestion, transformation frameworks, orchestration, and CI / CD automation across structured and semi-structured data.Drive development of client reporting, performance attribution, AUM, holdings, transactions, and regulatory reports.Drive adoption of advanced analytics, predictive insights, and automation for business decision-making.Qualifications
10+ years in data engineering and platform architecture, with 5+ years in leadership roles.Proven success building and scaling enterprise data platforms on Azure and Databricks.Strong hands-on experience in :Enterprise Data Warehousing & Lakehouse architecturesData Engineering, BI, and Advanced Analytics platformsCloud data ecosystems (Azure / AWS / GCP)Deep domain expertise in :Portfolio management, AUM, NAV, performance attributionClient reporting, compliance & regulatory reportingMarket, reference, and transaction dataStrong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.Strong leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary data teams.Excellent stakeholder management with proven ability to work with senior business leaders.Strong SQL, data modeling, and analytical problem-solving skills.Experience implementing data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks.Exceptional communication and program execution skills.Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.Preferred Experience
Exposure to Snowflake, MDM platforms, and streaming architectures.Experience in financial or regulated industries.
