About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Statutory Auditor who is Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified with a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience in statutory audits.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with statutory audit procedures, financial statement preparation, and regulatory compliance.
This role involves working closely with clients and audit teams to ensure high-quality audit deliverables in line with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end statutory audits for clients in accordance with Ind AS / IGAAP / IFRS and regulatory frameworks.
- Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Prepare audit plans, execute testing procedures, and document audit findings.
- Ensure audits are completed within timelines and deliverables are aligned with client expectations.
- Evaluate internal controls and identify areas of risk or non-compliance.
- Coordinate and communicate with client stakeholders, including CFOs and finance heads, for audit queries and clarifications.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare audit reports, working papers, and supporting documentation in accordance with firm and professional standards.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified with 1+ year of relevant post-qualification experience.Hands-on experience in conducting statutory audits for mid to large-sized companies.Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and auditing standards (SA).Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word; familiarity with audit tools / software is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.Ability to work independently and within a team under tight deadlines.Good to Have
Experience with Big 4 or mid-sized audit firms.Exposure to international audit assignments or clients operating in multiple geographies.Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc(ref : iimjobs.com)
