PHP Developer in VAS Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a

PHP Developer

for Junior Profile with hands-on experience in the

Value-Added Services (VAS) and Telecom industry . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications, APIs, and platforms that support VAS products, including SMS, IVR, DCB, subscription services, and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain

PHP-based applications, APIs, and backend systems

for VAS platforms.

Integrate with

Telecom Operators’ APIs

(SMS, Billing, Subscription, DCB, Notifications, etc.).

Manage

subscription workflows

– activation, renewal, deactivation, and reporting.

Handle

large-scale data processing

and ensure system stability and performance.

Collaborate with product, business, and operations teams to launch new VAS services.

Implement secure coding practices and ensure

data protection compliance .

Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure uptime of VAS services.

Work with

databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL)

for subscriber management and reporting.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

1-2 years of experience

in PHP development (Laravel, CodeIgniter, or similar frameworks).

Strong knowledge of

Core PHP, MySQL, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and SOAP .

Hands-on experience with

Telecom integrations (SMS Gateway, Operator Billing, Short Codes, APIs) .

Knowledge of

Linux servers, Apache / Nginx, Cron Jobs, and Shell scripting .

Familiarity with

VAS platforms, DCB flows, and content delivery systems

is a plus.

Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and handle end-to-end project responsibilities.

Good to Have

Experience with

VAS Aggregators and Operator APIs .

Exposure to

VAS reporting dashboards

and analytics.

Knowledge of

security practices (fraud detection, anti-spam measures) .

Familiarity with

cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) .
