🌍 About the Role

We’re seeking a  Senior Data Engineer  with strong expertise in  SQL, Talend, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery , and  Microsoft Azure  to join our growing data engineering team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing high-performance data pipelines and cloud-based data architectures that power analytics and business decision-making across the organization.

You’ll collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders — ensuring data is accurate, scalable, and always available for insight generation.

🎯 What You’ll Do

  • Develop and Optimize SQL Solutions :  Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies to ensure top-tier performance.
  • Build & Maintain ETL Pipelines :  Design and manage robust ETL / ELT workflows using  Talend , integrating data from multiple systems.
  • Architect Cloud Data Platforms :  Manage and optimize data storage and workflows on  GCP BigQuery  and  Azure SQL / Synapse Analytics .
  • Automate Workflows :  Use tools like  Apache Airflow  or  Azure Data Factory  to orchestrate and schedule automated data processes.
  • Ensure Data Quality & Governance :  Implement standards for data security, consistency, and compliance across cloud environments.
  • Collaborate & Mentor :  Partner with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

🧩 Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in  data engineering  or  database development .
  • Expert-level  SQL  knowledge — including optimization, indexing, and stored procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with  Talend  for ETL / ELT pipeline development.
  • Strong working knowledge of  GCP BigQuery  and  Azure SQL / Synapse Analytics .
  • Solid understanding of  data modeling  (relational and dimensional) and  cloud data architecture .
  • Proficiency in  Python  or  Shell scripting  for automation.
  • Familiarity with  CI / CD ,  Git , and  DevOps practices  for data workflows.

  • Experience with  Apache Airflow  or  Azure Data Factory  for orchestration.
  • Exposure to  real-time data streaming  (Kafka, Pub / Sub, Event Hubs).
  • Cloud certifications  such as Google Professional Data Engineer or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
