Food Safety & Quality Control Manager - Ready-to-Eat (Retort Processed Foods)Location : YCook India Private Limited FactoryIndustry : Food Manufacturing | Ready-to-Eat | Retort ProcessingAbout the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Food Safety & Quality Control Manager to lead all food safety and quality programs for our ready-to-eat, retort-processed food production facility. This is a senior leadership role for an individual who excels at ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a robust culture of food safety.What You’ll DoLead Food Safety Systems : Develop and manage HACCP and FSMS tailored to retort processing.Assure Quality : Oversee raw material checks, in-process controls, and finished goods testing.Stay Audit-Ready : Manage FDA, FSSAI, GFSI, IFS, and BRCGS audits; own all compliance documentation.Thermal Process Validation : Oversee heat penetration / distribution studies, F₀ calculations, and process validation in collaboration with Process Authorities.Supplier Management : Approve, audit, and monitor suppliers to ensure material compliance.Sanitation & Hygiene : Lead GMP, pest control, and environmental monitoring programs.Training & Development : Build and deliver training programs on HACCP, GMP, allergen control, and retort procedures.Multi-Site Oversight : Harmonise food safety and quality systems across multiple facilities.What We’re Looking ForEducation : Degree in Food Science, Food Tech, Microbiology, or related field (Master’s preferred).Experience : 8+ years in food safety & quality assurance, with proven expertise in ready-to-eat retort processing.Regulatory Knowledge : Deep understanding of Indian FSSAI regulations, EU food laws, FDA standards, and global certification schemes (ISO 22000, GFSI, BRCGS, IFS).Technical Strength : Expert in HACCP, thermal process validation, and food safety risk assessment.Leadership : Strong communicator, problem-solver, and mentor who can lead teams under pressure.Why Join Us?This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the safety, quality, and reputation of a rapidly growing brand in the ready-to-eat sector.
