Trade Finance, together with Cash Management, is the mainstay of GTS, and is extended to SME and corporate clients for their local and cross-border financial transaction needs.
In Cash & Trade, you will be part of the product management team that provides seamless and cost-effective solutions to customers. Whether it is through conducting market research, or by enhancing a product or system's features to meet customers' needs, you will have every opportunity to shape the business. You will also be exposed to a myriad of Trade and Cash Management products through various marketing campaigns and joint visits with our relationship managers.
Job Purpose
Lead the strategy, development, and growth of our Open Account Trade products within the Transaction Banking division. The incumbent will be responsible for enhancing our offerings in areas such as Supply Chain Finance, Receivables Finance, and other open account solutions.
Key Accountabilities & Job Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision : Define and articulate the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Open Account Trade product suite, ensuring alignment with the overall Transaction Banking and institutional banking strategy
- Market & Client Needs Assessment : Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and gather extensive client feedback to identify unmet needs, pain points, and new product opportunities within the open account trade finance space. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements and regulatory changes impacting open account solutions
- Product Development & Management : Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and conceptualization to launch and post-launch optimization. Translate strategic objectives into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for technology and operations teams
- Business Case & Financial Performance : Develop robust business cases for new product initiatives, including financial projections, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasts. Monitor and analyze the financial performance of existing open account products, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with a wide array of internal stakeholders including Sales, Relationship Managers, Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations to ensure product feasibility, successful delivery, and strong market adoption
- Go-to-Market Strategy : Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, training materials, and sales enablement tools
- Stakeholder Management : Act as the primary subject matter expert for Open Account Trade products, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including key clients, industry bodies, and fintech partners
- Risk & Compliance Management : Ensure all open account products comply with internal policies, external regulations, and industry best practices. Work with risk and compliance teams to mitigate potential risks
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization : Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for open account products. Analyze product usage data, client feedback, and market trends to drive continuous product improvement and innovation
Required Experience
5 – 6 years of experience in a similar role.
Education / Preferred Qualifications
MBA or a professional degree from a premier institute or compensating experience
