DevOps Cloud Engineer

Job Summary :

This role is responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable, flexible, and cost-efficient cloud-based infrastructure and managed services.

The focus is on creating foundational cloud environments and systems (e.g., Storage as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service) that will be utilized by other enterprise and product teams to support business objectives across private and public cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Deployment : Design and deploy various opinionated cloud environments and platforms that align with enterprise architecture and security requirements, while meeting the critical needs of internal customers.

2. Collaboration : Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, solution architects, and product teams to build and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the companys requirements for scalability, availability, performance, and security.

3. Capacity Planning : Monitor system usage to predict future needs, ensuring the organization scales its IT resources appropriately.

4. Automation & IaC : Develop automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates to configure and provision complex cloud resources, including identity services, virtual private clouds (VPCs), gateways, SSL, Kubernetes clusters, and NoSQL data stores.

5. Security & Compliance : Integrate enterprise security and disaster recovery policies into cloud infrastructure configurations, ensuring data protection and retention practices comply with industry regulations.

6. Storage Solutions : Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based storage solutions to ensure data availability, security, and cost efficiency.

7. Strategy & Optimization : Assist in executing technology strategy and engineering roadmaps, including optimizing cloud expenditure, maximizing resource usage, and ensuring high availability across required geographic regions.

8. Technology Evaluation : Evaluate new and emerging cloud technologies for potential adoption and assist in modernization efforts by prioritizing and executing the migration of on-premise services to cloud systems.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Experience & Skills (Must-Haves)

• Total Experience : A minimum of 6+ years in the IT industry.
• Development Experience : At least 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Programming Language : Proficiency in Java (version 8 or higher).
