We have an opportunity with our reputed client please find below the details : -

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Opcenter Discrete Technical Consultant who will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and customizing Siemens Opcenter (formerly SIMATIC IT) Discrete Manufacturing solutions . The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, hands-on development skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end MES / MOM solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Implement, configure, and customize Siemens Opcenter Discrete MES modules based on client requirements.
  • Develop and integrate Opcenter solutions with ERP, PLM, and shop-floor systems using APIs, web services, and middleware.
  • Design technical specifications, perform coding, testing, and deployment of MES functionalities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring optimal MES performance and stability.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to translate business processes into technical solutions.
  • Participate in solution architecture, installation, upgrades, and version management.
  • Provide technical documentation and support during UAT, go-live, and post-implementation phases.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for client technical teams.

Required Technical Skills :

  • 8+ years of experience with Siemens Opcenter Discrete / SIMATIC IT implementation.
  • Hands-on development with the following :
  • C#, VB.NET, JavaScript
  • SQL Server / Oracle (queries, stored procedures)
  • Web services (REST / SOAP), APIs
  • Experience in MES integration with ERP / PLM / SCADA systems.
  • Understanding of manufacturing shop-floor processes (Assembly, Production, Quality).

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Knowledge of Opcenter Connect MOM, Opcenter Execution, Teamcenter or other MES / MOM platforms.
  • Experience with manufacturing industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial Machinery , etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a global team environment.

    • Education :

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field .

    • Certifications (Preferred) :

  • Siemens Opcenter Certifications (if applicable).
  • MES / MOM or Industrial Automation certifications.
