Job Description : Role Overview

The Rebar Detailer prepares accurate, code-compliant reinforcing steel shop drawings for U.S., Canadian, and other international construction projects. The detailer collaborates with engineers, fabricators, and contractors to ensure flawless detailing output.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare rebar shop drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) according to project requirements.

Generate bar lists, placement drawings, bending schedules, and accessories list.

Interpret structural / architectural drawings and coordinate details accurately.

Apply ACI, CRSI, BS, IS, and project-specific codes.

Identify constructability issues and raise RFIs when needed.

Coordinate with project managers, fabricators, and QC teams.

Revise drawings based on feedback or design changes.

Ensure outputs meet client standards, sheet formats, and internal quality checks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / B.E. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

1 8 years experience in rebar detailing.

Proficiency in detailing software (AutoCAD is mandatory; knowledge of aSa, CADS RC, RebarCAD, Tekla, etc. is a plus).

Strong understanding of structural drawings and rebar placing requirements.

Excellent attention to detail with zero-error approach.

Ability to handle multiple projects.

Willingness to learn new standards and tools.
